Symbify has teamed up with Kelly Green Raters to provide home energy audits, contractor referrals, and third-party green certifications for homeowners interested in tackling a comprehensive whole-house deep energy retrofit project. Services include:
PRE-AUDIT SITE VISIT
- One-hour on-site consultation to visually inspect home, provide general recommendations for efficiency improvements, and discuss pathways towards sustainability and net zero energy including new federal tax credits and rebate programs for home performance upgrades.

ENERGY AUDIT – SUSTAINABILITY ACTION PLAN
- Conduct a home energy audit to include blower door test, thermal bridging via infrared camera, inventory of equipment and appliances, and visual interior and exterior inspection;
- -Create a Sustainability Action Plan for improving energy efficiency and increasing comfort throughout the home that may include (but not limited to) insulation and air sealing, updated mechanicals, solar production, mechanical ventilation;
- Identify incentives (tax credits, equipment rebates, etc.) for home efficiency upgrades;
- Obtain two quotes for solar panels if feasible;
- Offer referrals and/or criteria for soliciting bids from qualified contractors;
- Coordinate one pre-construction meeting with contractors to ensure alignment with the Sustainability Action Plan.
OPTIONS:
- Duct leakage testing starts at $350 (two-zone system).
- Solicit and review bids for contractors, recommend product specifications, and provide take‐offs as needed at a rate of $125/hour.
- Provide updated mechanical design documents (Manual D, J, S) – subcontracted to mechanical engineer, cost TBD.
- Conduct construction inspections and oversight to contractors at rate of $125/hour.
- Create a HERS (home energy rating score) pre/post energy model that compares home performance at baseline and after improvements are completed ($1,950).
